Great Great news!
When They Could Fly has won TWO Awards in The Texas Black Film Festival! 
The First Award was for Best Short Film. The Second Award was for BEST OVERALL FILM OF THE FESTIVAL!!!!!!!!
As one of the prizes for winning this festival, WTCF has qualified for the 
AFI Dallas International Film Festival in March and our film will represent The Texas Black Film Festival in this event.
We have also been accepted to several other film festivals. Here's a list! (if your close, come on by!!!)
Zion Independent Film Festival in Utah (February 23, 2007 - February 25, 2007)
Independent Black Film Festival in Atlanta (March 15, 2007 -March 18, 2007)
Arizona Black Film Showcase in Phoenix (March 22, 2007 - March 25, 2007)
AFI Dallas International Film Festival (March 22, 2007 - April 01, 2007)
Westchester Film Festival in New York (March 9, 2007 - March 11, 2007)

Well good news on the movie front. Piotr has been accepted to two festivals so far!!!!
The first one is: Texas Black Film Festival
The second one is: Arizona Black Film Showcase
If anyone is in the area, please come!!
Now on a personal note: Has anyone heard or seen Livingston Thomas (Augustine from the movie!)? We would love to know how he's doing. So this is an APB!! If you know his where abouts, sends us an email stat!!!

Well, a tone of stuff has happened!
First off, We are having our South Carolina Premier! (Oh, You know you deserve it too!!) (THANKS ALL!)
It is being hosted by the Black Creek Arts Council, which was also the organization that provided us with office space (Huge THANK YOU!!)
ALSO!!!!!
There is a premier in the works for the Greenville area!! Everyone who isn't able to attend the Hartsville premier is more then welcome to come!
All screenings are free of charge and open to the public!!!! (So please COME!!!)

Folake Olowofoyeku graduated college with Piotr and Emilia Moran. So we'd (Piotr and I) would like to wish her all the success in the world and hopefully she will break into the big time!!
Pressly Coker is studying acting right now in NJ and he hopes to attend College in NY for acting this semester!
Jesse Ray moved to Texas and is doing good!
Ted Ciesielski is working on a time lapse project after being discovered at the Tribeca Film Festival. GO TEDDY!!!
Stephan P. Lindsey has moved to California and is now working as both a producer and writer. He should not only be sporting a terrific tan but also a healthier paycheck! ;) (Congrads Steve!!)
Piotr Kajstura (Who's he??) :) Recently received a great honor when the film 6AM which he produced, won a Student Academy Award in the Alternative category. He also took Best Production credit at Cityvisions this year! (WOOOOO Piort!!)
Emilia Moran also received an award at Cityvisions! (MUY BUENO!!!)
Trish DeHond married her boyfriend John!!! CONGRADULATIONS!!!!
Jeongmin Kim and his wife had a baby boy!!! congradulations!!!!! (Shh... the baby's sleeping!!!)

The movie is finally locked!!
Piotr is working with Hekiro Matsuoka, a composer / sound designer, and the movie should be ready for the festival in about two or three weeks.
Also of interest: Ted has directed a short documentary film named “MY EMPIRE” and it is being shown at this years Tribeca Film Festival in NYC.
Congrads to Ted and congrads to Piotr who walks away with an editing credit! ;)

Hey Y'All!

I'm just writing to let everyone know that thier havwe been several additions to the website.
Jay (Jeongmin Kim) has just given us several pictures that he took of the production. They are in Black and White and look VERY cool!!! They are now in Production Gallery 3.
I have added a wonderful article to the News section. It's from the Observer and it's got a lot of pictures.
On the production side, Piotr is very close to locking the picture. For those not in the know, like me 8), locking is the step rigth before the musical score is applied to the film. So basiclly, the film is ready for music and sound! He is working with a great sound designer from CCNY's Sonic Arts department and I will soon include a profile for him!
I hope everyone had a good Easter and I wish everyone a rocking summer (Hopefully, not to hot!)

Hey all!
The first rough cut of the film is complete.
Most of the cast and crew have seen it and the response is GREAT! I'm really happy with the response I am getting from the film.
Currently, I am seeking people who can score the film as well as a sound engineer.
I have spoken to a few different people and I believe I will soon make a choice.
I hope that, in a few weeks, by the middle of March, the picture will be locked (finished visual editing) and I will concentrate solely on sound and music editing.

Our production is completed!!!!
We are now in the process of developing the film stock. Currently we are choosing between Du Art and Technicolor. Technicolor is cheaper... so we think they will win.
We’d like to say THANK YOU to all the crew, cast, and all others who helped us on this production.
